To comply with restrictions associated with current U.S. sanctions administered by the U.S. Treasury Department’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), including the revocation of General License G, the International Council for Veterinary Assessment (ICVA) cannot engage in certain transactions with individuals who are “ordinarily resident in Iran.” Specifically, such individuals may not be able to register for examinations and may not be able to order certain forms, or make certain purchases from the ICVA website, unless otherwise authorized under applicable U.S. law.

These restrictions are related to applicable U.S. sanctions requirements and are not based on citizenship or nationality.

Candidates who maintain legal residency outside of Iran may be eligible for examination outside of Iran, subject to verification, if the testing center permits it. Candidates should be aware that testing centers may require proof of residency outside of Iran and may be prohibited from taking the test without such proof.
