The International Council for Veterinary Assessment (ICVA) is conducting a practice analysis study of veterinarians to update the content of the North American Veterinary Licensing Examination® (NAVLE®).
The purpose of the study is to validate the core knowledge areas that are essential for a minimally proficient, day-one ready, general mixed animal veterinarian. A panel of experts from across North America has proposed updates to the content of the NAVLE examination. Now ICVA is partnering with the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) and the Canadian Veterinary Medical Association (CVMA) in asking the veterinary community to help validate the proposed updates and provide information on any additional core knowledge that should be included. In the survey, you will have the opportunity to evaluate the criticality and frequency of each competency domain, as well as domains of diagnoses, for species you see in practice.
