Can I request a Species Specific Exam on my own, or does my licensing board need to be involved?
Species Specific ExamsThese exams (Companion Animal Medicine or Equine Medicine) are available only through state or territorial licensing boards — individual candidates cannot order one directly. If your board requires one as part of your licensure process, your board coordinates scheduling and access with ICVA.
