NAVLE Practice Analysis Subject Matter Expert Recruitment Survey

ICVA is currently seeking Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to complete a recruitment survey to assist with finding SMEs for the NAVLE Practice Analysis. During the Practice Analysis, data will be gathered from a representative sample of practicing veterinary professionals in the field to validate what tasks they perform, the frequency and importance of those tasks, and the Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs) required to execute them successfully. It is a vital step in the lifecycle of the NAVLE to maintain the validity, relevance, and defensibility of the exam. The recruitment survey will assist with finding SMEs to serve on the Practice Analysis Advisory Committee and the Focus Area Workshops, which will bring together SMEs by species area of expertise.
ICVA will need a wide range of experience to complete the panels at upcoming sessions, so interested veterinarians from all aspects of the profession are encouraged to participate in the survey.
At this time, we are particularly looking for the following:
- Veterinarians who practice in the U.S. or Cananda with expertise in Aquatics, Camelidae, Cervidae, Laboratory Animals, Ovine/Caprine, Pet Birds, Porcine, Poultry, Reptiles, Small Mammals, and Wildlife.
- Veterinarians who graduated from veterinary school within the last 5 years.
ICVA will review the answers from these forms to determine who should be part of the team to represent different perspectives in the veterinary field. If you are not selected for these workshops, the additional details from the form can help us select SMEs for volunteer opportunities in the future.
