State and Provincial Licensing Agencies
SCROLL BELOW to find contact information for your state or territorial licensing agency.
What to know before contacting your chosen licensing agency:
- All Canadian applications are processed through the National Examining Board (NEB).
- Candidates may only apply for approval to take the NAVLE through one state or territorial licensing board.
- NAVLE application requirements, deadlines, and application fees vary across jurisdictions.
- Make sure to contact the licensing agency before the NAVLE application deadline.
- All application materials must be received during the application period. No exceptions are permitted.
- Candidates are responsible for obtaining the necessary NAVLE application materials.
- You can apply for NAVLE approval through one board only, and that board will receive online access to your NAVLE score automatically upon score release and for one year thereafter.
- You may not change your licensing board once your application is submitted.
- Once you pass the NAVLE, you may request score transfers to other jurisdictions through the American Association of Veterinary State Boards (AAVSB).
*For states/territories shown in green, NAVLE State Application Approvals are processed by ICVA. *For states/territories shown in blue, NAVLE State Application Approvals are not processed by ICVA.
